If you’re a racing game fanatic like me, then you’re keeping serious tabs on Forza 5.

Piston head Alan Boiston over at Veni Vidi Vici (TeamVVV) takes apart all the details in the commentary video above.

Its a great example of “next gen” racing. Take in the vast vistas, clouded with mist, as you speed through living tracks. Not only are there people in the stands going about their fanatical routines, there’s signs of actual life going on. You can see tents, stands, food vendors with smoke billowing, with people going to and fro. And all of it at beautifully reflected on your car and in your windows at a solid 60fps.

There’s so much to take in, so watch it.

Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 Racing Bundle

Xbox 360 Racing Bundle Includes Wheel-Like Thingy

Microsoft has announced, via Major Nelson’s Blog, that starting in mid-June they’ll be offering a new Xbox 360 Racing Bundle at $299 MSRP. The new bundle includes a 250GB Xbox 360 system, a copy of Forza 4, and one of their strange wireless racing wheel thingies. Well, it looks more like a wireless racing horseshoe to me, but what do I know? I’m not really a big racing game fan.

I’d normally say “Find out more after the break!” but let’s face it: what more is there to say?

Forza 4: American Le Mans Pack Sounds Thunderous!

Forza and the American Le Mans. More Cars, More Power!

Ever wanted to be part of  a league of “extraordinary gentlemen,” an upper class of elites who live, eat and breath octane higher than the pump typically offers, or at least pretend you do? Come February 7 you can download the new American Le Mans Series Pack, with ten new cars.

Burn it up in an Audi R18 TDI at Indianapolis, or take the corkscrew in the classic 1986 Audi Sport Quattro S1. Maybe you like the wankel whine in the Mazda 787B, or better yet the thundering bellows of the Panoz Abruzzi “Spirit of Le Mans”.
