Forza and the American Le Mans. More Cars, More Power!

Ever wanted to be part of  a league of “extraordinary gentlemen,” an upper class of elites who live, eat and breath octane higher than the pump typically offers, or at least pretend you do? Come February 7 you can download the new American Le Mans Series Pack, with ten new cars.

Burn it up in an Audi R18 TDI at Indianapolis, or take the corkscrew in the classic 1986 Audi Sport Quattro S1. Maybe you like the wankel whine in the Mazda 787B, or better yet the thundering bellows of the Panoz Abruzzi “Spirit of Le Mans”. Or maybe you’d prefer the roar of the 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R, or the 2011 Holden HSV GTS.

Maybe drive with some Hella Flush swagger in the Platinum Motorsport Bentley Continental GT or Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s Dodge Challenger SRT8. But then again, there’s also a 2011 Volkswagen Polo GTI, if you’re feeling frugal, and the 1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4, for when the real one breaks down again.

Crackle Goes Live…Xbox Live, That Is!

Popular movie and TV show streaming service Crackle has joined the growing ranks of streaming video and music apps available on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console. Following the December release of Xbox 360′s new “Metro” dashboard, a steadily growing library of streaming apps have become available for download. Crackle is the latest in the Video section of these apps. Crackle for Xbox 360 promises a healthy library of content for users to stream to their consoles for free.

Well…that’s the theory anyway. This article was supposed to be my impressions of the new service, but it seems their servers are swamped. Check back for the full review once the service is actually available!

Game Traders: Beware of Bad Deals!

To all you game traders out there, thinking of trading in their old consoles and games: I implore you to consider selling them outright. The price some of these shops (where you can STOP to purchase a GAME or two) are willing to pay are unbelievably low. I recently traded in some components along with an old console. I received $18 for a 360 wireless antenna that was sold for $50.

E3 2012: Will Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo Bow Out?

The games media is on fire with a new rumor: that during this year’s E3, one of gaming’s major players will bow out of the future hardware race. If true, it’ll be the biggest shake up in the games industry since Sega famously called uncle in 2001, after the market failure of its Dreamcast console.

But the big question left unanswered is: who will it be?

Fallout New Vegas Patched…with more crap

Recently, Bethesda released a update patch for their RPG Fallout New Vegas. I think great, they finally got around to fixing the myriad of glitches and freezes that has been a nuisance since it’s release of  10/19/2010. So I download the patch in Xbox live and guess what – somehow, unbelievably, they’ve fucked it up even more! Now not only are the glitches still there, but all my DLC is missing, and I can’t continue my saved games that I already invested many hours playing to near completion. My head nearly exploded with what came next. Blood and outrage after the break!

MODDED WARFARE 3

Rumor has it that Activision will be releasing “Modern Warfare 3″ in time for the 2011 Holiday Season.”Modern Warfare 3″ will be developed by Infinity Ward with a little help. Sledgehammer Games is helping with the single-player campaign and Raven Software is helping with the multiplayer. In my opinion Infinity Ward needs more than a little help with the Online Multiplayer. Why you ask? Well I’ll sum it up in one word “CHEATERS”, Modern Warfare 2 is full of MODDERS, GLITCHERS and LITTLE TEAM KILLING DOUCHEBAGS, and Infinity Ward never dealt with the problem, except for having Microsoft BAN modded consoles that were playing pirated copies of MW2.
